An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Shared Services Manager to join our Finance team. This role offers a comprehensive handover period, ensuring a smooth transition. About the opportunity As the key interface between our Australian Finance Function and our Global Business Services team overseas, you will oversee critical financial operations including Grower Payments, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Credit Control, and Cash Management. You will lead a small team within Australia, providing training, coaching, and support to ensure effective delivery of financial services. Your key responsibilities will include: - Oversee the grower payments process for Cotton, Seed and Feed procurement and Cotton Ginning operations.
- Manage credit risk processes and liaise with credit insurers and brokers to ensure adequate coverage.
- Monitor and approve payments processed by our Global Business Services team and liaise with bank for any payment issues until resolution.
- Handle exception management for payments, receivables, Credit Control and Treasury functions.
- Ensure aged debtors are followed up and liaise with global risk office team.
- Approve general ledger reconciliations in the bank, payables, receivables and advances area on monthly basis.
- Manage the daily cash position and half monthly borrowing requirements.
- Manager the corporate credit card system and provide staff support and training as required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with our shared services overseas team.
- Manage cross-functional projects and provide support to the Executive General Manager Finance.
About You You bring a minimum of five years' hands-on experience in a similar Shared Services Manager role, ideally within the agriculture or commodities sector. Your strong stakeholder management abilities enable you to work effectively across internal teams and external partners. - Proven experience managing shared services or finance operations teams.
- Strong knowledge of AP/AR processes and credit management.
- SAP experience highly regarded.
- High-order troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent customer service focus with strong attention to detail.
- A relevant qualification in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance (highly desirable).
