Queensland Cotton is owned by Olam, a global leader in supply chain management of agricultural commodities. In Australia, we have been supporting industry for 100 years and today we operate in multiple products including cotton, cottonseed, chickpeas, sorghum, and mung beans. We’re looking for a hard working Export Shipping Coordinator to join our Trading and Supply Chain team in our large Cotton Lint business. This is a fantastic opportunity to support our vessel booking operations, working closely with our Shipping Lead and many internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth cotton exports for our growers and global buyers. About the Role As an Export Shipping Coordinator, you’ll assist the Shipping Lead in coordinating ocean freight bookings, updating the Forward Allocations Planner, and communicating with shipping lines and internal teams. This replacement role supports our team’s growth, taking on key tasks to help our Shipping Lead focus on expanding operations. Key Responsibilities Support the Shipping Lead to manage vessel bookings and update Forward Allocations. Assist to create and update bookings in SAP, ensuring accuracy. Communicate shipment details and update stakeholders, including warehouses, buyers, and shipping lines. Help troubleshoot booking issues, such as schedule changes. Maintain shipment records in systems like SAP and Excel,
About You Great attitude and willingness to learn is the most important requirement Experience in a logistics role and exposure to shipping or freight coordination is a plus. Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail to manage tasks efficiently. Good communication skills to engage with internal teams & external stakeholders. Quick to learn systems like Excel, SAP or booking portals, with a proactive attitude. Relevant Bachelors degree is a bonus but not required. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, supporting a team to meet deadlines.
