About the opportunity We are looking for an experienced, reliable and passionate individual to join our team as the Gin Manager and oversee the production, maintenance, quality, team culture, and safety compliance at our Cecil Plains Cotton Gin. Reporting to the General Manager Cotton Operations you will have autonomy to: - ensure safe work practices and monitor environmental conditions
- manage the Gin to achieve maintenance and production schedules
- Lead and develop your team and site culture
About you You'll have proven experience in cotton ginning, preferably as Gin Manager or senior operator and willing to live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Cotton Gin, such as Dalby or Cecil Plains. You'll also bring: - proven all-round technical skills (mechanical & electrical)
- a passion for continuous improvement and a commitment to safety
- a strong 'process' mindset to drive plant maintenance and production activity
- excellent interpersonal and strong leadership skills
- energy and drive to persevere through long seasons
- reasonable business and financial acumen
- proficient in using ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
