Our Cotton Gin facilities receive and process raw cotton to remove cottonseed and compress clean lint into cotton bales ready for export. About the opportunity

We are looking for a hard working and reliable individual for a permanent Assistant Ginner/Ginner position at our Cecil Plains Cotton Gin. In this role you will be part of a small team and be involved in all aspects of cotton ginning operations including but not limited to:

• supervise a seasonal team of workers during day or night shift
• monitor production, conduct preventative maintenance and resolve breakdowns promptly to ensure downtime is minimized
• ensure safe systems of work 

About you

If you have ginning experience, we’d of course love to hear from you! But we’d also encourage you to apply if you’re a tradie (or equivalent) and have experience in other industries. We can train you!

You will also need to be:

• mechanically minded
• safety-aware and have fitness to handle long shifts during the season
• hard-working and resilient
• eager to learn and able to think on your feet and troubleshoot
• respectful and able to interact with people from many diverse cultures
• responsible and take ownership for outcomes by working well with the broader team
